TJ Cheek – REALTOR, Coldwell Banker Access Realty

Buying a home or property is a big deal. As a husband and father that has been through the process, I understand this completely and I know you want someone to help you along the way as you take this step in life. Rather than make promises, perhaps it would be better if I tell you about myself. I’ve been very fortunate to have many interesting and exciting life experiences ranging from walking through the Sistine Chapel to fishing with the real Forrest Gump (a story you’ll have to hear in person!).

A few of the highlights are

  • I’m a veteran of the U.S. Navy during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. I served as an air controller in the North Arabian Gulf aboard the USS Yorktown and later aboard USS The Sullivans.
  • I’m a former firefighter / EMT and served in many capacities including the Glynn County technical rescue team. This job brought me many adventures from delivering babies, rappelling from building, and even climbing aboard a capsized ship to search for survivors.
  • I’ve started, managed, bought, and sold several businesses.
  • I’ve been a licensed fishing guide for 10 years and I’ve fished professionally in the Elite Redfish Series where I was the St. Augustine Wild Card Champion in 2014. I was also the 2015 IFA Redfish Fernandina champion in the team event. I’ve been featured on Fox Sports Outdoors, multiple print publications, and been a guest on George Poveromo’s Saltwater Seminar Series.
  • I’m a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belt with Devine Jiu Jitsu and enjoy training and competing as much as possible.
  • My wife, Katie, is a 3rd grade teacher at Satilla Marsh Elementary where both of my sons, Jackson (8) and Ethan (5), attend school as well.
 
My hope is that by getting to know me, you’ll see that my family and interests are probably similar to yours and that we can find some common ground. If I’m fortunate enough to earn your business you’ll know that you don’t just have a REALTOR, but a local friend that you can trust.
